The fans of Cate Blanchett will undoubtedly love the experimental film of director Julian Rosefeldt because Manifesto is a one and a half hour acting from the side of the amazing actress who plays twelve different roles and is apparently enjoying this unusual situation.
We see twelve pieces of a video installation in a museum, where twelve very different personalities (a homeless person, a factory worker, a professor, a mum, a choreographer and a curator among many others) interpret one famous artistic manifesto. For example we can hear the proclamation of the futurist and dada movements or the Dogma 95 manifesto which is regarded as an epoch-marking act in the history of contemporary Danish filmmaking. Of course there is no narrative, the audience shoud just watch the videos and hear the proclamations from the mouth of the really stunning Cate Blanchett.
