The popular antagonist of Marvel comics arrives to cinema: when Eddie Brock acquires the powers of a symbiote, his life turns into a mess and the once conscientious journalist begins to leave broken bodies in his wake. The movie is packed with stuff not entirely suitable for children but even that doesn't make it a good one.
Before all we must state that Spider-Man does not appear in this movie which is exclusively built on Venom's character. All the trouble begins when a shady research group investigates extraterrestrial life forms because they want to create supernatural beings believing firmly that the resulting creature will be superior to humans. Dedicated journalist Eddie Brock accidentally receives a symbiote and turns into a monster who feeds on brains. The question is, can he ever be free again? Or is he becoming too addicted to his new powers?

This may sound exciting but the critics gave low ratings because of the poor execution, the messy script, the repetitive action scenes and the suffering of good actors in badly written roles. According to The Guardian "Venom is riddled with the poison of dullness".
