Mel (Tiffany Haddish) and Mia (Rose Byrne) are best friends since school and they start a beauty company together. Soon their relationship will be challenged by a nasty, rich capitalist (played by Salma Hayek): as they are facing bankruptcy, they sign over 49% of their company to Claire Luna. A decision they will both regret...
Rose Byrne, Tiffany Haddish and Salma Hayek are wonderful comic actresses and they are clearly enjoying themselves in their roles. However, the script fails to find balance between ideal pace, gags, character development and message. Though the story tries to convey some critical observations on beauty industry, it can't make a step further from clichés, while the fun factor mostly consists of foul-mouthed dialogues between the protagonists.
